You've got what it takes!

Did you know you have everything you need to do everything God has called you to do? I think I forgot that lately, I think I forgot that it is not my own ability to accomplish things but it is God working in me and through me. I recently started listening to the book You’re the girl for the job, I am only about a chapter or two into it but it’s stirring something in me… this deep reminder that that it is actually true. That I am the girl for the job, not just a job where I am teaching, or serving, or volunteering… that I am the girl for whatever job God has for me. The girl to smile at those walking past me, the girl that encourages those I am around, the girl who is a cheerleader for her friends. The girl that is growing her own business, the girl that dreams of writing and speaking one day.

I think sometimes we forget that we have what it takes, that we can do hard things! My gut instinct is to run for the hills when it comes to facing suffering or difficult situations. Although, I don’t know if anyone really likes suffering but I think I am slowly, and when I say slowly I mean like a snail's pace, learning to press into the difficult. In the difficult I have learned and am still learning that it is where growth happens, in the difficult is where my need for the Lord is the greatest, in the difficult is where I see a more real version of me.

Can I remind you today that you have what it takes. Momma with those little ones at home, you have what it takes, single friend who longs for that family with littles ones at home you have what it takes to be present in your current season. Business women trying to start that dream of yours, you have what it takes, that girl wanting to break into the fitness industry but afraid she will be seen as an imposter, you’ve got what it takes.  Me saying that doesn't change much, you have to actually believe it. You have to believe that you can do hard things, that you are capable of a whole lot more than you think you are.

Choose to believe it today! I have to choose to believe it today. We have what it takes, its not our job to try and figure it all out, it’s not our job to strive to “make” it all work. It is your job to rest in the fact that God has already given you everything you need to do everything he has called you to do. Period, end of story!
